Hey fokes!
I'm back to up-date you all on my most recent and freshest moves! So on the 4th of March, I did a live performance at Exedus Lounge in Chicago, IL! Yes! I did! I felt great and when I was up on the stage! I felt very comfortable. As I rapped out my first song, the crowd seemed to gravitate towards the stage! And before I knew it the room was filling up! I suppose it was mainly other artists who came to critique other artists work(including mines!). But never the less I did my thing and even the thugs were bobbing their heads! LoL! After the show I got love from a few people, passed out my business cards, and got an invite or two to perform else where. Ok, so for the people who missed my performance, NO FEAR! I have another one coming up on the 27th of this month in Chicago as well!
But before I let you all in on all of that good and juicy information, I'd like to give you my honest thoughts of which direction I feel my music moving into. My style and sound is more so on the level of electro/hip hop/ pop kind of flow. The reason I say this is because I am creating my "art for the ears" as an experiment. What I mean by that is, my whole mixtape is an experiment with different types of music to find my niche! I say this is the direction in which my music is going because it is a part of my personality as well. The most music I listen to on a regular basis is Electronica/House music and Deep Soulful House Music to be particular. I love this kind of music because when I listen to it, I began to paint these images in my head of how that music relates to my life! However, I do listen to a varity of hip hop, pop, and rap music.
If you know anything about these two types of genres (Electro/house music), you know that there is hardly any sininging involved, although sometimes it is depending on the artist. I also am finding myself being drawn to more artists outside of our country who do hip/hop. For example, I found this very popular artist who goes by the name of "Adam Trensta". He is a Swedish rapper and I love his style and image!He doesn't remind me of anyone because he is unique in his own way. Which is very rare to find these days. It is a breath of fresh air I must admitt! If anything, I'd love to travel out of the country and start doing shows around the world!
Now! Back to the juicy details that I mentioned before I went off into deep space about my goals and desires. I have another show coming up at the end of this month!!!! It will be me and 4 other artists featured in the show. It will take place in Chicago, IL:
